Free dinners in Westbrook Maine Open Door Kitchen

"If you are generous with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out, your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight." Is. 58:10

On the third Saturday of each month our church family comes together to provide a free meal to our community. Usually we have the priviledge of serving around 150 meals.

We love meeting people, serving them and getting the chance to show the love of Jesus. Some might be hungry for food while others might be hungry for human interaction and community.

We have so many dedicated volunteers that we can't list them all. From the people in our congregation who bake desserts, to our chefs, to our servers and our cleanup crew, each person gets the purpose for serving. We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.

Come eat or come serve the third Saturday of each month from 4:30-6:00.

Caring Funds & Emergency Assistance

We believe in taking care of one another in the body when we hit emergencies and crisis, just as the believers did in the 2nd chapter of Acts. That's one of the many benefits of being part of a church body! For needs outside our church family, we refer people to the general assistance office in their town, the community food pantry that we support and the clothing cupboard.

Visitation

We are very fortunate to have a team approach in our church body. Since Scott's (our lead pastor) story includes a liver transplant and immunosuppression, he is not able to spend much time in hospitals and longterm care facilities. But we have a number of people with servants' hearts who step to provide love and support. We're a team serving together.
